This collection of papers is an eclectic mix of materials containing business and financial papers relating to various business transactions, stock transfers, and the Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund. The majority of the business papers are from the 1960s. Also of interest are the three scrapbooks that Jeane Kempner and her daughter Mary Jean Kempner compiled of American Women's Voluntary Services materials. These materials are dated 1942-1945 and complement the collection of similar papers compiled by Jeane Kempner in MSS 86-0009. The photographs are mostly unidentified and contain photos from a trip abroad and a large portrait of Joseph Bertig, brother of Jeane Bertig Kempner. The collection also contains school notebooks while Mary Jean Kempner was at the Ogontz School for Young Ladies in 1929-30. 20210525. English.
