The Thomas L. Monagan Papers contain train passes collected by Monagan, a Dallas-based insurance company representative who traveled to Galveston to survey company losses after the 1900 Storm. The passes were issued to the first relief party to arrive in Galveston one day after the Storm. Also included is correspondence from Monagan with pass holders and their descendants who wished for the return of the passes. Of note is correspondence with Rosenberg Library's first librarian Frank C. Patten, who reached out to Monagan regarding donation of unclaimed passes.
