"Boat Cloak, For all commissioned officers of the US navy. Dark navy blue wool cloth. The cloak is three fourths of a circle, of a length to reach two inches below the top of the kneecap when worn over epaulets, made of prescribed material for overcoats with rolling collar of black velvet. 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 "" wide. Fastened at neck by a hook and eye and one frog. Signed".

"Articles belonging to Lucian Minor, Lt. USA, 1884-1922. Lt. Lucian Minor was born in Galveston, texas, Sept 7 1884 and died June 18, 1992 at age 38. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis in the class os 1905 (Chester Nimitz was a class mate) this was the last class at the Naval Academy to train before the mast.".
