"Donated to the Rosenberg Library in February 2011. The framed painting had previously belonged to William Kilgour, and it had been gifted to him in 2005 by Marion Eastman. Marion Eastman and her late husband Wynne, a medical photographer, had owned it for many years - perhaps since 1960 or so. It had been given to the Eastmans by the artist, C. M. Pomerat.".

"The mat will need to be replaced when funding is available because it is acidic. Dr. Pomerat, scientist and teacher, was Professor of Anatomy at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, 1943-1945; 1945-1960 he became Professor of Cytology and Director of the Tissue Culture Laboratory. One of his hobbies was watercolor painting. His paintings were mostly of architectural interest; he was proficient in depicted detail.".
