"Black and white aerial photograph of a city with tall, crowded buildings. It is most likely European. The photograph seems to be taken from a tower or high-rise as it casts a shadow on the apartments below. It was found in the collection of T.G. Rice and is believed to be done by the artist. Unofficial artist and date are T.G. Rice, 1936. The mat board has slight damage.".

"Thomas Geale Rice (Oct. 11 1905- April 25, 1965) was the son of a shipping company owner. He tried his hand at the business, but decided to work with the Houston Post and Galveston Daily News. He also taught organ/piano and was the music director atTrinity Episcopal Church. One of his past times was photography (he had a darkroom in his home). Rice was also an amature historian and wrote an unpublished book on Galveston History. He was on the Rosenberg board of trustees and served as the president of the Friends. His obituary states the galveston history room was named after him.".
