"definitely deaccession John Burgoyne (1722-1792) was a British army officer. The Saratoga campaign of the American Revolutionary War was a series of battles in 1777 which were fought in an attempt by British forces to gain control of the Hudson River Valley. John Burgoyne commanded an army of 6,000 men and was forced to surrender after the Battle of Saratoga.".
