This is a miscellaneous collection, including letters, printed matter, and clippings, chiefly relating to Isaac Herbert Kempner, 1873-1967, and Henrietta Blum Kempner, his wife. His papers include a 100th anniversary program of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, a copy of his letter to Lyndon B. Johnson, 1960, a biographical sketch of his father Harris Kempner, and records of various business interests. His wife's papers include records of the Galveston County chapter of the Red Cross in which she was active as vice-chairman and later as director of volunteers. A scrapbook in poor condition, 1885-1927, consisting mostly of clippings, has been filed in oversize.
